Interactive ideological test that positions readers on two axes -- socio-economic and socio-cultural -- and compares their position with that of Flemish parties and 4,000 voters.
Are you socio-economically left or right? And socio-culturally? Based on 24 statements, this test calculates your position on two ideological axes and places you on a scatter plot alongside the Flemish parties and more than 4,000 voters. The result screen uses a scrollytelling format to show the ideological landscape per party: where do the voters of N-VA, Vooruit, Vlaams Belang or Groen sit? And how do they relate to their party?
The data comes from political scientists Stefaan Walgrave (UAntwerpen) and Jonas Lefevere (VUB), who also provided the voter research for De Stemming. The scrolly reveals patterns step by step, on a visually striking background of animated, colored blobs.
