HTMLCSSJSLeafletQGISPython

This investigative piece by Ine Renson for De Standaard maps the rise of industrial-scale livestock farming. An interactive Leaflet map shows how mega-farms are popping up across the region, from the Kempen to deep into West Flanders. The piece combines scrollytelling with expandable info cards tracing the economic chain from feed manufacturer to supermarket. Photography and video by Jimmy Kets make the story visually coherent and tangible. This longform was the very first production in a long series, designed and developed together with Tina.
