Editorial Image Suite
Internal image editing toolkit for (currently) six Mediahuis newsrooms in three countries. Four tools in one app: collage creation, branded stamp overlays, AI-powered face and license plate blurring, and GIF animation creation.
Editorial Image Suite is an internal tool I built for Mediahuis, used daily by journalists from various titles.
The suite contains four tools. Collage Creator combines multiple photos into grid layouts. Stamp Studio places branded overlays on photos: journalists pick a stamp (loaded from Google Sheets), position it, and export. Blur Buddy is the AI privacy tool: face-api.js detects faces, a YOLOv12 ONNX model detects license plates, and each detection can be individually pixelated or covered with a black bar. Loop Lab creates GIF animations from video frames: load a video, pick frames, and export as an optimized GIF.
The app automatically adapts per brand: colors, fonts, default settings and available stamps all switch accordingly.
