Congo Hold-Up was an international investigation under the European Investigative Collaborations (EIC) umbrella, based on 3.5 million leaked bank documents. For De Standaard, we developed two longform pieces with scrollytelling infographics that visually map the money flows. The first piece shows how at least 122 million euros were siphoned from the Congolese state through the shell company Sud Oil, with animated money flow diagrams guiding the reader step by step through the complex transactions. The second story traces the money trail to the luxury yacht Enigma XK, with interactive infographics exposing the financing structure.
